Weird Dream Number 2

So, I thought you guys would want to know about this, since everyone seemed so interested in the other dream I told you about.

By the way, I still haven't figured out a way to open the box. I got really excited the other day when I thought it was going to open. I was just getting ready to do some housework and I turned on some music to listen to while I worked. I saw the box sitting on my counter and kind of played with it a little, and one of the dials turned and clicked! But that was it, and it's still sealed shut. :(

Here's the picture I made. This time, I used a computer program, but I still don't remember doing it. I just know that it was on my computer after I had the dream.

  1. What kind of music was playing? Did it happen to include any wind instruments?

  2. Hey Becka,
Can you tell us if that dial thing still turns, or if its stuck? I'm guessing none of the other dials are turning, huh?

  3. Also, I noticed your Bill & Ted's poster in the back =). Great movie. I'm guessing you're a fan too?

  4. The music was classical, and I think there were flutes and things, although there were a lot of other instruments as well. I guess maybe they did have something to do with it. The dial only turned the one time, although after reading your comments I tried to get it to turn again while playing different kinds of music, with and without wind instruments, and it didn't work. :( I think maybe the second thing I dreamed might have a clue on how to get the dial, or another one of the dials to turn, but I can't figure it out.

@psicrowv2 The poster is actually my roommate's. :) It's been awhile since I saw the film, but it was fun. Maybe I'll check it out again when my roommate gets back in town. (She's visiting her cousin right now.)

  5. Hello Becka Belle. Your code Spells out "Morning Star G Nikname length"
Morning star is a nickname for Venus (5) good luck.-_Darkhuman

  6. @Darkhuman: That sounds cool, but Venus is Greek/Roman, not Aztec. Of course, there's no reason that the Aztecs couldn't have some kind of Morning Star of their own. :) Length sounds like it makes sense for some reason, but I don't know about G Nikname. Maybe because Nickname has a "c" in it... Anyway, thanks for helping me with this! :)

What about the symbols? Does anyone know how they might fit in?

  7. Well the first one means: Earthquake (east) - intellectual but practical.

The second means: House (west) - deep, thoughtful and conservative.

Venus the planet was also very important to Mayan/Aztec skywatchers as it supposedly predicted relationship patterns symbolized the experiences of Quetzalcoatl through its various phases (such as its Morning Star phase). There's some interesting information on http://www.onereed.com/samples/foley.html

  8. I think it actually reads "Morning Star KING Name Length" and the symbols are telling you which direction to read the text. Each new word of the sentence begins with the "East" symbol except when you get to GNIK.

I've searched a bit for Aztec KINGS named The Morning Star but didn't come up with much. Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli is the morning star in Aztec mythology. Not a king but a deity.

Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli is 21 letters long. If you multiply that by 2 you get 42 - the meaning of life, the universe and everything :). I have no idea how that's supposed to help you open the box but does that stir up and thoughts? Any more weird dreams or mysterious drawings?

  9. Becca, can you clarify what ornaments on the box are "dials"? And did you see which one turned?
I believe there is likely a specific order the "dials" must be activated, perhaps turned to specific positions.

  10. @Dead: I think there are four dials. The round ornament in the center of the top of the box moved last time. There are three ornaments that look like the one on top in the front of the box. They haven't moved though.

For some reason, Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, feels right. Does that make sense? I wonder what 21,2, earthquake, and house might mean. They were all part of the same dream, so they must go together somehow. Maybe some way to turn another dial?

    @Joey it's cool that 2 * 21 makes 42, although I kinda doubt the Aztecs read HG. ^_^

  11. @Joey: I meant to mention, I haven't had more dreams yet. Sorry. I'll let you guys know as soon as I do ^_^

  12. Well this may be another shot in the dark but I wonder if saxaphone music will have any effect. Do you know anyone on campus with a sax? Or maybe you can just playthis video and put the box ext to the speakers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkHHwFyh9dc

  13. @Joey: just tried the youtube video you suggested, but nothing on the box would turn or move at all. :(

  14. I ran into some information about aztec gods and Tlaltecuhtli is an earth god, lord of the day for days with number 2

  15. Have you tried playing some jazz? Maybe Benny Goodman or another clarinetist.

  16. Sorry for the double post, but I had another idea. Have you tried shaking it?

  17. Hey Becka, you've been mentioned on another blog. Your box has too.

  18. Hi Becka - I've been doing a lot of reading on the Aztecs, and their music. It looks like much of this music relied heavily on drums, sometimes flutes and rattles as well.
I found a modern group that reproduces some Aztec music that you can try: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTKtwbgrOis
As for the direction, range, and which dial to turn... I'm not sure yet. But I'm quite intrigued!
There's also a gentleman you might reach out to who appears to have some experience in things-Aztec. He may have an interest in your box. Here is his blog: http://resurrectthetruth.blogspot.com/

  19. @jahilia: Oh my gosh, I shook the box, and tried turning each of dials. The dial in the middle of the front turned!

@Joey: I counted the number of times it turned...21 ^_^

@PsiCrow: I think this guy may be on to something about how to open the box...but he's crazy, so I kind of hope he leaves me alone.

@Dead: I tried shaking the box before playing the music, it didn't work. :(

I wonder what's really in the box...
    What do you guys think?

    ReplyDelete
  20. @Dead: sorry, to clarify, I tried shaking the box, and the dial moved. I tried playing the music after that, but nothing happened.

I'm a little tired, and that makes it hard to type things clearly. *^_^* I'm going to bed early tonight.

  21. Becka, Can you try turning the box on one of it's side's and then try turning one of the dials?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sorry Joey, turning the box on it's side didn't do anything.
